On the Anxiety-State of out Patients

Abstract
|
|
|
This study was conducted in May, 1978.
The subjects were 181 male and female patients from the Medical College Hospital of K. N. U. and other local clinics.
The selected departments were Internal Medicine(21), General Surgery(35), Obstetrics & Gynecology(35), Ophthalmology(20), Dermatology & Urology(35), Dental Clinic(35).
The measuring tool was STAI of Spiclberger. STAI were consisted of Anxiety-State(Form X-1) and Anxiety-Trait(Form X-2). This study showed conclusively that;
1. In six departments, Internal Medicine showed correlation for A-S and A-T at .05 level.
2. A-S realtions of the patients between each departments were shown differently, that is, Internal Medicine and Dermatology and Urology were relatively higher and Dental Clinic was lower.
3. Female patients were higher than male patient: for A-S and A-T. But they did not show-significancy for statistic evidence. ´
4. A-S level between high A-S group and ]ow A~-S group Were shown differently in each grade and age.
5. A-S level between male patrents and female patients were shown differently in each grade and age.
